BBC Schools Report

Students from King’s Lynn Academy have become school reporters from the BBC.

BBC School’s Report 2018 sees schools up and down the country take part in an annual news day where students simultaneously create videos, audio and text based news reports which are published on their school’s website and linked with the BBC.

On 26th March students at KLA produced reports as part of this National initiative. They produced a full news broadcast focussing on a range of topics from topical news stories of the week including the Russian poison scandal to more local news such as behaviour in schools.

Students worked collaboratively taking responsibility to establish a production team and created roles and responsibilities for everyone involved.

Individual credit should be given to Year 9 students Daisy Patnell and Harry O’Neill who successfully led the team as producer and editor.

Mrs Goodson, English Teacher at KLA expressed how proud she was of all involved stating, “All students worked brilliantly as a team with determination, focus and enjoyment throughout the day”.
